I am an experienced designer, pattern cutter, and maker. Since early 2015 I have been working as a bespoke tailor and dressmaker for private clients. I use traditional techniques and do much of my tailoring by hand.
I am fascinated by textiles and, and although my specialism at London College of Fashion was pattern cutting, I have always found a way to experiment with interesting textile applications in my work and over the years have gathered a library of vintage clothing and textiles which are a constant source of inspiration.
Believing in making clothes that are sustainable and last, I like to imagine the clothes I've made someday being heirlooms which have stood the test of time.
In addition to tailoring for private clients on occasion I work in costume for Film and TV productions such as the Netflix production Outlaw King, Apple TV's The Essex Serpent and The Buccaneers, BBC Christmas drama The Midnight Gang, and Ridley Scott's The Last Duel.
I also co-run the social enterprise, Clothworks Glasgow, which explores clothes making and mending as a means to encourage and support individual and community empowerment.
